Evening Post, Wednesday 11 April 1917 Captain Colin McDonald, an Australian ship-master, who has had much experience in the horse transport during the war, was recently presented by the Indian Government with a souvenir of plate in recognition of "meritorious service". Captain McDonald has made a special study of horse transport for many years, principally in the Indian trade. He was for a long period associated with the old Archibald Currie Line, but since the absorption of that service by the British-India Company some years ago, has been in the latter company employ.
