1911 January 17th - Launched.
   
" March 26th - Delivered as Ellenga for British India Steam Navigation Company at a cost of £101,300. She was the first ship of the E-class to be delivered with the other ships named Edavana, Elephanta, Egra, Ellora, Erinpura
and Ekma.
   
1914 August - Taken up as an Indian Expeditionary Force transport running between India and France.
   
1917 October - Operated as Transport B8016 in the Mediterranean.
   
1918 Served for two months under the French Government’s service.
   
1919 Returned to her regular service with BI in the Bay of Bengal.
   
1942 Served as a Personnel Ship where she made no fewer than three trips out of Rangoon during the evacuation of Burma the last of which left Rangoon 24 hours before its fall to the Japanese.
   
1945 January - Present during the landings of Kyaukpyu for the re-occupation of the western part of Burma.
   
1947 February - Released from war service.
 


" July 25th- Sold for Rs 185,000 to Hassanally Shipbreakers of Bombay.
   
" December 29th Left Calcutta in two pices for breaking up.
   
1948 January 26th - Beached for breaking up.
