One of the best known and respected seamen trading between Australian and Eastern Ports, having been in Command of S.S. running between these Ports for nearly 30 years. Is a pioneer of several of the routes, possesses exceptional geographical knowledge in which he takes a high intelligent interest. Held command of Lord Brassey's 'Sunbeam' during the time Lord Brassey was Lieut-Gov. of Victoria. Received highest praise from Admiralty for excellent services in command of transports during the late war.
