ARRIVAL OF S.S. EURYALUS.


The fine new Currie liner s.s. Euryalus, Captain C. McDonald, arrived In the bay early yesterday morning from Calcutta, and anchored till she was granted pratique. The Euryalus left Calcutta on December 2, and cleared the Ganges on the following day. She rounded Cape Leeuwin on December 18, and arrived at Adelaide on the 22nd, discharginging 2,000 tons cargo. She continued the passage on the following day, passing Cape Otway at 4p.m. on the 25th. There were strong variable winds to the Equator, the S.E. trades being taken in Int. 9deg. S. and lost in lat. 27deg. S. Southerly and S.W. winds were cxperienced to Cape Leeuwin, followed by easterly and N.E. and fine weather to arrival. The Euryalus proceeded to a berth at North wharf.
